Live Life As If It Mattered – 5.15.13
In this teleseminar, John Dupuy talks about a book by John Lukacs that he has recently finished and highly recommends, Five Days in London, May 1940. He describes how Winston Churchill overcame adversity and lived his life as if it mattered — which is something that we should also do. Live life as if it mattered and live life as if we might have something important to do.
Some questions in this teleseminar include:
- “I would really like some help learning how to meditate. I have OCD and ADHD.”
- “I just wanted to say that I listen daily to random one of the many I now have. I enjoy it tremendously. I don’t actually read much about it or do it in a sort of intellectual way that I would do with most other things. Then, occasionally, I think I ought to know more – maybe I shouldn’t just let it work on me and not think about what it does. I’m just curious what you think about that.”
- “Has anybody experimented with just focusing on the sound instead of another meditation of the sound?”
- “In meditation, how does one balance conscious participation with allowing yourself to be given over to the audio environment? When I give over, I lose conscious participation.”
- “Does anyone have any tales of Profound Meditation Program during or after a fast or a cleanse? Does being clear increase biofield effects and meditation effects? Any tales of yoga or qi gong with Profound Meditation Program? Just curious. I’m going to do a juice fast cleanse if spring ever comes in Chicago and the sun comes out.”
- “In the book The Abolition of Man, C.S. Lewis wrote that technology is the fallacy and bargain of the modern world. How do you reconcile this statement with what you’re calling ‘technological grace’?”
