A Conversation with Jamie Vasilyan – 3.5.14
In this teleseminar, John Dupuy is joined by Jamie Vasilyan of Hypnosis in Bristol. They talk about various topics which include Jamie’s take on meditation, nonduality, hypnosis, and his own personal practice with Profound Meditation Program 3.0.
Below is Jamie’s biography taken from the “About Me” page on his website:
Jamie Vasilyan is a Neo-Ericksonian and Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist who has always wondered why we are here and where we are going. He began meditating at the age of six under an Oak tree at school in 1984, and has been exploring meditation and the meaning of life ever since. In his childhood he took an interest in self hypnosis and the power of the mind. His interest continued to develop, and by the age of eighteen in 1997 he was learning and practising the art of hypnosis. At the age of twenty he discovered from a friend’s Ericksonian hypnosis training that much of what he had discovered about hypnosis through trial and error was recommended by professionals. This boosted his confidence even more and caused him to seek a professional qualification in Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapy at the Clifton Psychotherapy & Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT) centre with David Newton in Clifton, Bristol. His professional career as a qualified hypnotherapist began with the Diploma in Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy (DHP) and the nationally recognised Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD). Jamie specialises in Confidence Coaching and Transpersonal Hypnosis, offering workshops online and in person. Jamie is a fully-insured member of the National Council of Hypnotherapy (NCH) and believes that a confident hypnotherapist doesn’t need to read from a script.
Some questions in this teleseminar include:
- “My husband cannot stand to listen to the meditation program which is normal. Shall I reduce the volume to almost zero? I want to hear it, but he says that it drives him nuts. He’s an engineer.”
- “I was listening to Jamie talk about his iAwake experience, and it sounded like he was pretty systematic starting with the first CD. I’m wondering if either you or John could speak to the importance of doing it linearly like that or sort of hopping around like I do.”
