About the Tracks from the Creator, Leigh Spusta
Alpha Arising contains two immersive tracks designed to promote focus, calm, and flow, both by sponsoring alpha waves in the brain and by guiding psycho-emotional experiences through the compositions. These soundscapes were created with the idea of space, our Milky Way galaxy, and Earth’s place within it. This greater perspective of connection fosters a sense of belonging, a deep calm. By having the sense or feeling of safety, comfort, and belonging, we can turn our focus onto what we choose with greater depth and attention. We find ourselves more fully present and in the moment, absorbed in the flow of experience.
Borealis – Flow: Think of the ebb and flow of light and color, shimmery streams of expression within the greater field of cosmic display. Find comfort in the flexibility of awareness, of keeping a calm attention, and adjusting fluidly to the rhythm of the moment.
Polaris – Focus Into Calm: Known also as the North Star, or Pole Star, Polaris is that reference point in the night sky that has aided navigators and travelers for millennia. This relatively fixed position makes it the ideal focal point to help bring everything into focus, to stay the course throughout the journey.
Both of these tracks have been tuned to the life-affirming and grounding Earth (Schumann’s) resonance of 7.8 Hz, a nice lower alpha target frequency.
The Story of the Development of Alpha Arising from the Creator, Leigh Spusta
Sometimes an inspiration simply shows up or pops into my head, and in the case of Alpha Arising, I had the idea of doing some pieces that were like soundtracks to floating in space, observing the celestial events and wonders. Then the idea of the Aurora Borealis came up and I thought “Ooh, if those lights were sounds, what would that be like?” And what would the sonic interpretations of Polaris, the navigator’s North Star, be like? From there, more concepts began coalescing around soundscapes that calm, inspire creativity, and bring listeners more fully into the present moment, flow state type of experience, with enhanced focus, thus Alpha Arising was born.

Technology
Brainwave Patterns Targeted
Alpha Arising is designed to bring the listener into a broad-range alpha brainwave state (non frequency-specific), with an emphasis on promoting resourceful states. This can be experienced as “being in the zone” or flow state awareness while engaged in an activity, so immersed that one loses track of time. The writer becomes writing versus doing writing, for instance. Also, a calm focus is more easily attained — sustained attention with much less mental chatter.
Enhanced creativity and effortlessly making new connections happens naturally. These tracks can also coach the listener into a variety of depths of relaxation, based on the need and intention of the moment. We have also included a 7.83 Hz Schumann Resonance rhythm as a subtle influence of the Earth/Nature/Home feeling that is associated with this frequency, which exists at the threshold of moving from theta into alpha. Some brainwave models still consider 7.83 Hz as within the alpha range.
Alpha waves can amplify your clarity and imagination and boost your performance and creativity. They are said to be the “artist’s brain waves,” where new ideas and solutions are sparked and you connect to your inner playful state of clarity and wisdom.
Alpha helps you become fully present in a state of multidimensional awareness, which increases problem-solving capacity, and you may even experience a sense of deep connection, belonging, and flow.
Alpha is also fundamental to our spiritual growth, since we need a strong alpha in order to establish connections during states of trance, deep meditation, and dream sleep.

The compositional structure of each track is chiefly responsible for the alpha entrainment and relaxation benefits. This includes a psycho-acoustic approach to the melodic flow as well as special emphasis placed on the timbres and overall form of each sound layer in the whole. We have also moderately used vibro-acoustic tones intermittently, to both deepen the state and enhance attention. There is also a subtle isochronic rhythm of 7.83 Hz to round it out.
All of these approaches, coupled with the sonic interpretations of Borealis and Polaris, are designed to immerse the listener in the moment with calm and focused attention.

“Facilitated deep meditations, a sense of joy, an embodied spaciousness that was lovely. At times I was aware I was spaciousness and one with everything. I loved the soundscapes – the unusual rhythmic instrumentation, variations between rhythm and more sweeping sections, kept me aware yet moving through states of contentment and feelings of beauty. The calm state engendered was very tangible as well as a flow to all the elements in life I have experienced since (walking in the park, interacting with people, seeing beauty in all sentient life). Concentration was notably sharper for a time after listening to the tracks, and a peaceful self-acceptance and less anxiety was present. Deep states of calm – timeless qualities – supported being meditations and meditations requiring concentration. A great addition to tracks that welcome the day and start it off with a smiling state of beingness.” – S.W.
“These tracks set me up for success with my writing project. No procrastination or resistance, it’s awesome. Really conducive to productivity and focus, but with the added ability to put ideas on the back burner for processing at the same time. I used the tracks while I did hands on stuff like prepping veggies or doing my nightly stretches, listening with my brain off and no agenda. Lots of ideas and answers just arrived with no real effort. I also found that I can work in an area with lots of distractions but not get distracted. Super focus. These tracks are great for people who have a home office for work because they’re a force field of productivity when you use them.” – Abigail
